The Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association has posted that their 4-ship demo team will be performing. The C-47 "Virginia Ann" also arrived over a week ago. It had participated in the Dakotas over Normandy. Beyond that, I have seen nothing. The NWM's inconsistent marketing from year-to-year is baffling to me.

All that being said, I am hoping for some participation by the Canadian Warplane Heritage, American Airpower Museum, Military Aviation Museum, CAF Buffalo Heritage Squadron, Lou Horschel, Mark Murphy, and Charlie Lynch. I am also hopeful that a favorable weather forecast will bring in lots of "local" trainers, L-birds, and other vintage/classic aircraft.

I just had texted a friend last night saying the same thing......about 0 noise for this show anywhere online!! Guess it will be a wait and see on if anything else is 'added' for the show.

Looking forward to it though, always a great setting and show.

The weather forecast has been improving all week and now shows three great looking days. As much as Genny is about aircraft it is also about the setting and meeting up with friends. The lineup looks pretty good and I am with Jason in hoping for lots of locals and other regulars to show up. Hard to beat three days on the turf at Genny.

I believe D-Day Squadron C-47's "Miss Virginia" and "Placid Lassie" will be there this year.

I hope you are right. With "Virginia Ann" already on site, and "Whiskey 7" being based out of Geneseo, the additional two C-47s would make a good D-Day demonstration. I am also hopeful that Canadian Warplane Heritage will bring their newly painted Dakota.

Let's not also forget that the National Warplane Museums newly restored Beach UC-43 Staggerwing is on site and expected to participate in the show. I saw it last year at Oshkosh, and it is a beauty in its British markings. I believe its a Royal Navy scheme that is correct for that particular airframe.

Their recent newsletter also noted Greg Koontz, Rick Volker, and Manfred Radius as airshow participants.

I will be attending with Tiger Moth CF-MAD. Will be arriving with Chipmunk CF-LBT. This arrived from the west last year and it may very well be the finest example. Also joining us will be Dave Hadfield in his Fairchild.
The forecast is great. There are always lots of great folks to see and catch up with and usually lots of fun.

Looking forward.

Andy

Really hoping to get my Tiger photographed with the Staggerwing. Two good looking British biplanes together would be cool!

Charlie sure knows how to command his Avenger - extremely impressive! If you've seen him, you know what I mean, and if you haven't - you are missing out!

OMG, I hope there'll be a photog or two or three attending, who will post pix to WIX (and/or vids, yes movies work too). This is one show I'd really really love to see in person! Sure would be great to have the honor of shaking hands with Andy and Dave too...

Well, have a great time if you go! Geneseo was the first airshow I ever attended and was my 'home' show from 1984-2011. Now I live 2000 miles away... so will be looking for pictures here. Especially that Staggerwing, which was painted yellow the last time I saw it.

One of the best things about Geneseo has been the ability to get in as early as you want to wander amongst the aircraft and watch the sun come up. It has been one of the reasons that Genny is so much better than most shows.
Well, that is no more.
As of this year no-one will be allowed in until 9:00 am. I have it from an insider in Geneseo it is due to the FAA stepping in with some sort of new rule(s) that the museum must follow.
Very disappointing indeed and I will leave it at that.

Jeff

Oh great!
More pointless idiotic rules.
No doubt some bureaucrat has decided that this must be their (little) hill to die on.

The best part of Geneseo has been the lack of this needless B.S.
