The B-24 is 41-23782 "Boilermaker II" of the 98th BG, shot down during the infamous low-level raid on the Ploesti oil refineries. She was repaired by the Romanians using parts of other shot down B-24s, and put into service with their air force. I've always wondered whatever became of her..I assume scrapped after the war.

"'Boiler Maker II' was recovered / repaired and flown by the Romanian air force and eventually strafed and set on fire by German Bf 109G's when Romania changed sides later in the conflict. 26th August, 1944."
