Hopefully I'l get photos of departure/arrival this weekend - the wind is even expected to swing around to the more photo-friendly direction on Sunday. I'll be posting to the below album (after giving them a chance to get theirs online first)

It blows my mind that we went from NO Mossies to 3 airworthy Mossies within a decade! Well there's also the Vancouver BC B.35 so 4. Has that seen any air under it's wings lately?
For the NZ shop, is this it then? Or are there any left in the pipeline? I feel bad the UK doesn't have one.

On to Hornet dreams!

Two more NZ Mosquito projects are in the pipeline following this one - the next to be completed is NZ2308 (the Glyn Powell airframe), which will be finished at Avspecs for the UK-based Mosquito Pathfinder Trust and will be based in the UK at Duxford. The goal has been to have it completed and flying in the UK as early as 2020. Also, DZ542, a bomber variant, has been under construction at Avspecs - initially said to be for the Mosquito Pathfinder Trust, but I believe that has since changed.

I know there are remnants of two Mosquitos owned by a guy in Memphis. Hopefully several more can be put back in the air. I know there are 12 Flugwerk Fw-190's and a few Me-262's flying but have yet to see one at Oshkosh or Sun N Fun. Never seen one fly anywhere.
John Terrell, thanks for keeping us informed. You seem to have your finger on the pulse of the warbird movement.

Yes, the Mosquito Pathfinder Trust indicated a few months ago that they (with ARC) were making a decision between DZ542 and NZ2308, and made the call on the later in July.
http://rnzaf.proboards.com/thread/26939/mosquito-nz2308There hasn't been any subsequent announcement regarding DZ542, although progress photos are shared occasionally.

Will Avspecs be helping in any way? with their expertise with the Mosquitos, maybe subcontracting certain parts, providing technical build advise etc?
Has the Sea Hornet already started? I seem to remember with the original press release quite a short time frame for the build, which is already a year or two down the line.
