The Canadian Air and Space museum used to have a beautiful full size Arrow replica on display. Unfortunately after the museum closed, it just sat around the airport. Now support is needed to save this magnificent piece of history.
This deserves to be on display and under cover.

Wouldn't it be something if all those Toronto aviation fans--hurt over the "loss" of "their" Lancaster--could rally behind saving this representative piece of history?

I have the chutzpah to post at CWH facebook, but not the means. Anybody up for a little game of "poke the bear"?

:axe:

It is very large, but as a replica is perfect for a display in the main terminal of the airport. That’s where is should be, in the center of a main thoroughfare so that thousands a day can see the shape of Canada’s most magnificent aircraft ever.

I truly believe that international airports have excellent display space for statics....look at Seattle with the Voyager and Alexander Eaglerock displayed from the museum of flight.

Plus there are Jennys on display at a couple of places and a Lear 36 at the new Denver airport...it was the first aircraft to land at the field.

The main problem is that this mock-up is very large compared to the average sized jet fighter and weighs in at 10k lbs which rules it out for many places

Hey folks. Thought I'd update you on the status of this Arrow replica.
It has been offered an indoor home (along with all of the rest of the artifacts from the Toronto Aerospace Museum),
at the Edenvale aerodrome. This is about an hour and a half north of Toronto.
It's future looks quite secure.
