Wow. Suppose that P-38 were to show at OSH, and the Lewis Mosquito, and the XP-82. Some serious twin action there.

Fagen Fighters announced on Facebook that they are planning to have the P-40E and P-51D "Sweet Revenge" there. Sounds like the Dakota Territory Air Museum C-53 is making the trip as well.

Webcams are also live:

This bevy of beauties has gathered in a hangar just down the road and headed for OSH:

Add the Stinson Model A trimotor that Scott Glover is bringing, and you're going to want to spend some quality time down in vintage.

Hopefully with both the XP-82 and XP-51 in the same location, someone is putting together a photo shoot. :supz:
What other warbird model has two surviving XP's let alone in the same location?!

There's an opportunity for an unusual look at Mustang evolution with the XP, three B/Cs, the Ds, the H, and the 82. I saw where they recently ran up Paul's Cavalier for the first time in 18 years; wonder if they'll get it flying.

Does anyone have a sense of what response they got to the invitation they sent out with respect to a larger than usual turnout of P-51Ds?

I believe the Bud Anderson tribute is scheduled for Thursday which is supposed to include a mass run-up of mustangs. That is most likely the focus for Paul's mustang as she's been non-airworthy for so many years.
Not sure in total how many are going but from what I've heard it's going to be a good amount.

The XP-51 has been taken off it's pedestal and will be displayed with the XP-82. Paul 1 will be part of the mass run-up but will not fly.

Gonna be there Sunday for the week with brother and a friend. Anybody watching the live cams? The Warbird live cams have ATC audio which is cool, but the camera pans the structure its mounted to. Could move it out past the structure, probably easier said than done. It doesn't pan as last year missing quite a bit. At least they sped up the motion as one camera went crazy slow last year. My first OSH because of the XP82 and others. Gonna do some flights, Trimotor again and Thom Richards P40 out of Appleton. Staying in Appleton so should be easy to get to.

Cool. Have they said whether this display will be in the warbird area or over by the museum? Or I guess the Square is a possibility as well.

Looking forward to Oshkosh 2019!

Any news on the U-2 flyover rumor?

What is the skinny on the P-51 run up?

With Doc and FiFi there, any chance they'd put them up together?
