Some news on the EAA Airventure site today:

Canadian Warplane Heritage Firefly now attending along with Eddie Kurdziel's.

Looks like at least 10 of the D-Day Squadron aircraft will be present as well.

Our Firefly definitely won't be ready in time for Oshkosh this year, but 2020 doesn't seem out of the question. We are planning to send at least one or two aircraft this year and will announce once the details are finalized.

So, the EAA announce something today (https://www.eaa.org/airventure/eaa-airv ... AirVenture) that has apparently not been checked with the owner of the aircraft that is allegedly coming. Like every year, it is anybody's guess which of the aircraft that are announced will actually be there (and this has nothing to do with operational etc. issues). I wish big corporations would stop putting their marketing staff on occupational therapy programmes.

I'm looking forward to the XP-82!

Hoping they will put both Doc and FiFi at the sometime.

An evening Tora! Tora! Tora! sounds exciting as well!

So is the XP-82 only going to fly Saturday?

I must have missed the evening Tora! Tora! Tora!

Thanks for clarifying! Looking forward to seeing whatever CWH sends. I'd love to see the Dakota in her new livery, but I'm sure you guys have your own ideas.

It's apparently expected to fly twice during the week, even though it's not mentioned what the other day will be.
See http://airshowstuff.com/v4/2019/eaa-air ... -for-2019/ and http://www.airshowstuff.com/forum/viewt ... 9&start=70

PS I'm looking forward to whatever the CWH brings as well!

Thanks for posting those links! This caught my attention.

Aerial Firefighting Theme
The aerial firefighting theme has been one of the bigger question marks so far, since it’s a broad theme and few details have been provided. The webinar revealed that currently committed aircraft include a C-130 Hercules with MAFFS, a CL-215, a BAE-146, an AT-802, a Shrike Commander, an A-26 Invader, and a US Forest Service C-23 Sherpa with smoke jumpers.

I wonder which A-26? Surely this would be a restored warbird variant?

This may have been answered previously, but can anybody please tell me if the F-82 is expected to still be at Oshkosh on Friday?
That is the only day that my wife & I can both attend.
Thanks for any help.

Tom, the present demonstration schedule has a flight display for Saturday. Even if that schedule changes, I'm confident the XP-82 will still be in Wisconsin on Friday.

As with all aircraft at OSH, examine/shoot photos when you can. The windows for air-to-air photography can be quite narrow, and the requests for such are common.
