Re the first photos, AAIR and Baugher have no info on the B-24; the L-5 was listed by AAIR as having had a Category 3 taxiing accident on February 7, 1945 at its home base, McCook AAF in Nebraska.

Moby Dick Jr is an L-4, not an L-5.

If I EVER acquire an L-4, I will finish her as Moby Dick Jr. Now if only their was a picture of her tail. I'm hoping she also had the skull and cross bombs.

Another photo of I believe the same 91st BG Piper L-4, "Pappy", showing the other side and the "triangle A" on the tail: https://www.flickr.com/photos/wonderyea ... 24/sizes/l

nice set of photos
the trainer with the RCAF Lanc is a Fleet built Fairchild Cornell which is a similar photo to one taken at the plant
when the Lanc visited as Fleet made outer wings for Victory

CWH could redo both these photos as they just received a Canuck donadted

Anyone have more photos of BG hacks?
L-4, UC-78, C-45, whatever?

Did BGs use L-5 as hacks or were they more urgently needed as liaison aircraft?

Remember, Stinson was affiliated with Consolidated back then, so those photos of a pristine B-24 and L-5 may have been PR shots.
