A bit surprised. Maybe whoever buys her, will display her more at shows.

Would be even cooler if the plane was reproduced as a kit. How about four Rotec R2800s?

I was listening to interview at Oshkosh, it was more of a building it to build it thing. The builder isn't even the pilot. Perhaps there is a 3rd scale warbird museum?

Looked to me like a well-designed and well-built homebuilt. Lots of pop rivets though. Nonetheless quite an accomplishment.

Once upon a time I had envisioned a 1/2-scale B-17 with 4 VW engines, but of course that never came to fruition. This guy actually did it!

I love it! I wonder how much he wants. . . more than I currently have for sure - plus the multi engine rating - drat! I wonder how well it actually flies?

Not sure it's flown at all. Shame really because it was a great project to follow. It also shows what a person can do when determined enough!

It has flown. They flew it to Oshkosh and flight videos have been published to YouTube.

There is all ready a B-17 and liars class at Reno. Sentimental Journey is the only one to enter, Jim Orten was the pilot, He took Journey around the pylons the year he did not have a plane to race.
