These are some screen caps from some old home movies, the movie was taken around April 1972 in Jensen Beach/Stuart Florida on the causeway to Hutchison Island. It was in pretty good shape in these shots, it deteriorated quickly. Not the greatest quality but I thought they might be interesting. We crawled through it from stem to stern, loads of fun!

Thanks for posting those images. The Catalina was PBY-6A N6454C and its last owners were Fred J & Robert J Wynne of Jacksonville, FL.

Maybe the it date stamped that way because it is a picture of a picture, then again maybe not.

So did this PBY end here in Florida, decaying into the water, or was it scrapped at some point.

I did not know this aircraft ended here, and thought it was in Oregon where it crashed in 1965..?

Confused.

Hi Joe - good to hear from you. I think you might be referring to PBY-6A N6455C which crashed after colliding with trees following engine failure at Klamath Falls, OR 04Oct65. One digit out.

Well I assumed that Phil65 was joking. I think it was the smiley face that did it. :)
