Spinner ID Help

Sat Sep 15, 2018 8:58 pm

I have several repairable T-6 and BT-13 spinners that I am going to be selling to help fund a project, but I have one I have no idea what it was from. Carl thought it might have been from a Tora Tora plane
Any ideas ?

Playing the odds, I'd check general aviation types.
It's hard to tell from the angle, but it looks rather blunt.
Piper had blunt spinners on many types...

unless piper is running a radial, I doubt it, it is a little larger in diameter than a T-6 spinner, but the blade cut outs are the same as the T-6.

A much better photo for comparison...
It's an odd looking thing.

How do you know it's been off a radial?
It Still looks like an Aztec spinner to me but the blade cutouts are wrong.

You might need to search "Montgomery spinner" applications.
