OK, I'm having a senior moment. How many Kingfishers are left in the world? I am aware of:

1. NNAM

2 USS Alabama

3. USS North Carolina

How many more??

Thanks,
Owen

In addition to those four already listed...

5. & 6. There are two Kingfisher projects at Pioneer Aero in New Zealand to be restored to fly (previously at Precision Aerospace in Australia) - one being BuNo.5985/RAAF A48-2 (owned by Jerry Yagen) and the other is BuNo.5982/RAAF A48-7 (owned by Kermit Weeks). https://www.flickr.com/photos/errolgc/38208329914/

7. There is the fully restored Kingfisher BuNo.5909 hanging from the ceiling at the NASM Udvar-Hazy location (previously displayed at the Palm Springs Air Museum). https://www.cybermodeler.com/aircraft/o ... walk.shtml

8. BuNo.5925 on indoor display in Chile (Museo Nacional de Aeronautica). http://aerialvisuals.ca/AirframeDossier ... ial=152761

There are also a few more possible incomplete "hulks" in storage, such as at the Yanks Air Museum.

I believe the ex-NEAM Kingfisher hulk
that was at Yanks, may now be in New Zealand being restored. Don't quote me on that though.

Is this the Kingfisher on the cover of Robert Mikesh's book "Restoring Museum Aircraft"?

Yes it is. It was displayed at the Palm Springs Air Museum (on beaching gear), on loan, from 1997 to 2002, before the NASM took it back.

Kermit Weeks has just uploaded a tour of Pioneer Aero here in NZ, focusing on his Kingfisher, filmed in April 2017:

Try this? A very fetching colour scheme.

Also I'm surprised at the lack of response to Kermit's video here. Maybe I should've started a new thread?
