I have a copy of the Aeronautical Export Directory, published by the Export Department, Aeronautical Chamber of Commerce of America, Inc. in 1940. It has sections for Aircraft (Commercial), Aircraft (Military, Engines, Accessories and Service Equipment. Here are three pages that I find interesting. Thought I'd share.

Randy

Lockheed "Excalibur" (Experimental) 36 (40-place) Day Plane
An early design for the Connie with four R-1830 engines. There is some discussion of the development of this design, called the Model 44 Excalibur on pages 222-223 of Lockheed Aircraft since 1913 by Rene J. Francillon.
