A-26 in OK?

Just heard about an A-26 that is being restored in OK. In a quick search I turned up this picture. My guess is this is the one. Anyone know the identity?

I know I heard at one time 44-35562/N7079G was being restored in OK. I haven't heard any news of it in quite a while. It sat at Downtown St. Paul for quite a few years and then moved to Anoka for a while. I do know it needed a fair amount of work, the ring-spar broke sometime in the mid 1990s while flying in an airshow.

What...? I have just been sorting out some old mails on my hotmail account, and found one from 2004 which mentions N7079G being under rebuild in Guthrie, OK for Calvin Burgess. I then sent a mail back to the A-26 group to check if there is any news, and then went over here. 30 sec. later I see this thread. Great to see the photo, and I think we can safely say that it is N7079G!

There are two more A-26 Invaders in Oklahoma.... at Wiley Post Airport in OKC. They are both CAF aircraft..... the first is Lady Liberty, sponsored by Dan Lawson and is currently flying.... this is a true bomber version, never having been converted to a executive transport.

The second A-26 is the former "Daisy Mae", sn 44-35643, N-626SH, (x N-6841D) which was flying out of Arkansas...... This airframe was needing a great deal of work to return to the air. The lower right wing spar cap was discovered to be cracked, broken, garbage during an inspection.... So these guys take the A-26 apart, truck it to OKC, battle a tornado or two, had a new spar made, and installed it. They can always use another member and another set of hands....

There is still, at least another A-26 in Oklahoma . . . this one, on display outside of a VFW in either El Reno or in Yukon (don't remember exactly right now, but I have photos somewhere . . . ) and has been on display since the late 1950s IIRC.

Yes, there is an A-26 in El Reno, OK. I have a shot of it taken from my Citabria but have never posted pix here before....Here's some info on it.

Where did you hear that it happend doing a loop? I know that the incident occured at Downtown St. Paul/Holman Field(KSTP), which is only 8nm from Minneapolis St. Paul International. I would think that for the altitude required for a loop would mean a major excursion into the class B around KMSP.

I'm not sure the photo Dan posted and the aircraft with the broken spar are the same. I just suggested it as a possible identity since I knew it went down to Oklahoma.
