I'm looking for a good, talkative cockpit restorer to write about for Aviation History Magazine. Not somebody who restores cockpits for entire aircraft under restoration but somebody who restores cockpits alone for display and as a hobby. I'm not particularly interested in the flight simulator side of the hobby other than making the cockpit as functional as possible. Cockpit can be anything from a Spirit of St. Louis replica (for example) to a complex jet warbird. In other words, civil cockpits are just as interesting (to me) as military ones. Should be U. S.-based, which makes a telephone interview possible.
If anybody has any ideas, or is themselves a cockpit restorer, please let me hear from you.
