Hey Guys,

Was wondering if anyone knew what the situation was with DC-3 N33623 located up at a small airstrip at Mason Airfield in New Hampshire. And for that matter the Dakota Aviation Museum. Cant seem to find anything about them online.

Chicks Dig Warbirds.......right?

There are still so many dang DC-3s and C-47's sitting around the U.S. YOu can still buy one that's flyable much cheaper than restoring one.What's going to happen to them all?

They are converting them to turbine engines as fast as they can. There is a backlog at their factory

It seems despite turbine conversion efforts and a increasing (?) Number of flying museum ships, there are plenty of DC-3s rotting around the world.

As might be expected due to the number that have survived this long, they're the last WWII Warbird still being scrapped.
