Warbird Information Exchange

Went back to the Philippines a couple weeks ago and told my wife I wanted to get back to the museum. Had an even better visit than b4 as I was able to gain access to the interiors of several airplanes, with permission of course! For the most part the airplanes are cared for but I have noticed since my last visit 3 years ago that windows are breaking due to the extreme heat mostly I believe. Notice the Marchetti winshield and some of the top windows on the T-6. I'm new to flickr so if I'm doing something incorrect or different please let me know!

The T-6 is probably in the worst shape of the outdoor A/C but that may be because its the most visible corrosion

I believe this to be the original data plate, weren't they made of phenolic and isn't this the original location above the arm rest?

Lastly part V
This Mustang I think is a bit of a mystery as to serial No. Most sources out there like the late Paul Coggan list the S/N as 44-74627 but according to Joe Baugher's site this s/n was the one traded to the Taiwanese for a flyable F-5. I just cant get 4823 to match up with any known serial. Now my next question is, and this is for the Mustang experts (John Terrell you see this??), would the 6 digit code I.E. the radio call located on the dash also be the aircraft's last 6 of its s/n?
I have tried to get a hold of Mustang expert Dick Phillips but its been nearly a week since I sent him an email and no reply yet.
So I ask the WIX brain trust. I may have something....

Looks like they need to do the AD inspection on the T-6 attach angles!

Wont be long b4 those wings fall off!! The right side I dont have a pic because its attach angle was in better shape, really couldn't see any corrosion, but what lurks beneath...?

Indeed that was my guess!! But I was trying to throw it out there for the WIX brain-trust but yours is the only answer!
Not sure if you "peeked" at this photo already as I did not post it yet until somebody had an answer, but here is definitive proof of this Mustangs ID.
