Wallace Beery was a big time aviation fan (literally!!). Here's a
rare photo of the Los Angeles Metropolitan Airport Sign. It was taken on June 26, 1930. Note the "PRIVATE PLANE OWNERS" such as Wallace Beery, Howard Huges, Roscoe Turner, Florence "Pancho" Barnes, Etc... Ha! Ha! Imagine walking into the Airport Diner & seeing Howard Huges, Pancho Barnes & Wallace Beery eating dinner!!
