In a secretive mood, the Brigada 2506 Museum in Hialeah, Florida, has managed to purchase -no other word to describe the maneouver- through a corrupt Guatemalan Air Force officer, the sole remaining Douglas A-26 / B-26 Invader that remained in Guatemala since the 1960s.
The airplane was quickly taken apart at its last location at the Military Aviation Mechanics School and shipped to Florida.
Attempts reportedly were made to craft a historical connection between this airplane, and the failed Bay of Pigs invasion, but this airplane did not take part in that operation.
Too late to do anything about it, I just found out recently about this event.
Very pi**ed,
Tulio
