It would be a stretch, or at least a guess, to refer to it as a combat vet (which, for its sake, the sales ad doesn't claim), though it is known to have arrived in Theatre and been assigned to the 12th Air Force. I know some Mustangs flying today that are in the same/similar category, as having arrived in Theatre and been assigned to one of the Air Forces, but with no evidence of ever having gotten as far as being assigned to a Group/Squadron.
