Hello,
We at work (GateGuardsUK) are undertaking a project to build a number of replica aircraft for an overseas client. We are ok with the Spitfire and the Mustang (having built them for Dunkirk and Red Tails respectively) and the Bf109E which we built one last year, but having a few problems with the Hurricane and the P-40.
The airframes are no problem, everything is to hand here, it's just that both types have to have fully equipped cockpits and so we are asking around if anyone knows of someone that produces instrument panels for the two types. They don't have to be made using original dials and switches, but just give a visual representation of what the pilot sees. For Dunkirk we used fibreglass parts and then added transfers into the dials. Simple, but effective. Ignore the white control stick, that was suitably dressed after the photo was taken.

So, can anyone help us in our quest? It's early days so far, but we believe the P-40 to be of Warhawk vintage and not the earlier Tomahawk (although I am quite tempted to take that on as a project!).
Best wishes,
Martin Pengelly
