Not too off: looks as if it was 5th Army vs whatever USAAF units were in the area. As an aside, my wife and I went to Florence in 2016. Looking over those photos I'm amazed how (back then) the stadium was on the far outskirts of the city and now it is so well encompassed by it. (Stadio Artemio Franchi) Looked real cold that day too.
