Is anybody covering NATA pre-OSH events in Dubuque this week? You know we'd love to see any pics you might choose to share.

Blew some dust off an old pic file during morning coffee and found this:

There is also a B-17 across the field on the north side.

Bummer, but no reason to rush through anything to make an arbitrary deadline. It will be ready when the i's are dotted, the t's are crossed and a safe flight test program has been executed. That's more than good enough for me. I applaud the efforts of the restoration crew to get it to this point.

It looks like I may, if the fates shine, get to spend one day at OSH next week. I've never tried to do OSH in one day before. It might be frustrating, but better than nothing, I guess.

I wanted to tally where were are on some of the more exciting planes mentioned thus far on this thread. So far I've got:

Not coming: XP-82, F3A, F8F-1, Kermit's A-26, Berlin C-97
Coming: A-26 Special K, B-29 Doc, P-51C Lope's Hope

Spitfires that have been discussed:
P9734 (Lauder) - I'll be very surprised if this makes it. Missed its last scheduled gig Memorial day with a tech issue, don't think it has flown since.
BL628 (Lewis) - long shot
BR601 (Collings) - maybe? EAA has pics of it on the site, but hasn't identified it in words
TE294 (Potter) - coming
MK959 (ex TFL) - ?
NH749 (CAF) - someone said coming, but I don't see any word from CAF

P-40s:
NZ3119 (Tri-State) - ?
N40PE (Frasca) - coming
Potter - still coming?
Fagen Aleutian Tiger - coming

Corsairs
O'Connor F4U-7 - there already
Wings of North/Beck F4U-4 - coming
Tobul F4U-4 - confirmation?

World War One
Snipe, Pup, Fokker D.VII (Weeks) - coming (all 3 shown being loaded for OSH in video)
DH-4 - coming
Bleriot - coming
Any other specific ones people know of?

Lots of C-47s

WAAAM gliders

At least 3-4 Skyraiders

Special Mustangs:
P-51B/Cs: Red Tail; Old Crow; Lope's Hope
Sierra Sue II
Moonbeam McSwine
Any other exceptional ones?

British Jets - Vampire, Venom, Meteor

August

Lewis posted on FB this week they weren't flying anything to OSH. Frasca's P-40 is on the field.

She's scheduled to be stopping by CH2A in Windsor tomorrow through Sunday on her way to Oshkosh along with TE294 (which arrived in Windsor today)

If you do make it to Oshkosh August, keep an eye out for Harvard AJ583 which has pretty much all of her updated markings made using your font files. I'll be there too :)

August - in regard to the CAF SoCal Wing's Spitfire Mk.XIV - the CAF's Mk.XIV was listed among the participating Spitfires earlier this year together with Steve Barber in an initial Warbirds in Review schedule, but as you say it is no longer mentioned - both the aircraft and Steve Barber are no longer featured in the Warbirds in Review schedule.

Anyone know if John Swartz's F-86A is coming back to Oshkosh again this year? The Gloster Meteor WA591 is scheduled to attend, and it would be pretty neat to have both the oldest and second oldest flying jets in the world together.

The now fully painted "That's All Brother" is scheduled to attend among the number of C-47's, and both of Jim Slattery's matching F7F Tigercats are coming.
