Good luck with the engine.
There are plenty of helicopter T-55s out there, but before I spent that kind of money on a PROJECT, I'd make sure I get get an engine for the sucker.
Sure, the hot section parts would work ,but what about the probably unique prop gearbox?

If you want a turbine trainer, how about a T-34C or Tucano?
At least you can get engines for them.

Nothing wrong with it, but unless the PT6 is the same size, weight and has the same intake and exhaust as the T55 you'd have to re-engineer or redesign the front of the airframe and come up with basically a homebuilt.
