I'm curious to know which one is being restored. It went into the shop as the ex-CAF aircraft. Will it magically emerge as a combat vet with 'Jandina III' painted on the nose, I wonder?

Yeah, it will be interesting which of the two identities associated with FHC it will be/will be said to be when completed. Some years back, there was a guy on another WWII history forum trying to conduct some research on behalf of FHC on the history of P-38J 42-104088, which is the identity of the former CAF machine. There was some discussion about documentation showing that the aircraft (or at least the serial number/identity) served with the 370th FG/9th AF during WWII, and there was some desire in trying to track down the specific Squadron the aircraft belonged to and markings the aircraft may have had.
