Neal, do you have anymore pictures of that flight of the Mustang Pilots Club airplane? I think you might have captured my first Mustang flight! Tha looks like Dr. Cartwright up front. That feller in the back is too camera shy.

Man oh man Neal, that one of the two P-40 noses is so sharp it could've been taken yesterday! Wow!

I guess people are interested in this old stuff. I never know -- it seems like some ancient irrelevant history sometimes. I expect interest in my 40 years of Racing stuff, but interest in such old air show stuff always surprises me a bit.

Wish they were all like that, Zack. At that point I was thinking hard about photography as a profession -- I knew I was good at it, but making money is a somewhat different matter. But I did put a lot of work into sharp. And, doing sharp at ASA 25 and manual everything is indeed work. I never did make much money, but I sure have known a lot of interesting people, done some great flying (have I ever posted any Snowbirds flight shots here?), and had a really good time. The Warbird community includes an awful lot of wonderful people.

Rob -- I doubt it. I didn't know anything about Warbirds at that time. That was the first time in my whole life that I'd ever even SEEN a Mustang. Remember that three months earlier I didn't even know there were flying World War II airplanes.

Thanks to all for the compliments -- I'll try to get some more up this evening -- if I can remember how to Flikr...
