Mark, thank you for the explanation and changing your thread titles - it IS appreciated! You are not the main problem, as you so eloquently stated since 99.9% of your threads have accurate descriptions in them - agreed! You are one poster that I always read threads from because I believe you post some really great information here. The only reason people "dog-piled" on you is because you are the most recent example of what we're talking about, so please don't take it so personally. I lot of what myself and others have said were statements more generic in nature, but since your post was the most recent example of what we're talking about, you were highlighted.

BTW, I don't consider you a problem-maker with vague, inaccurate or non-descriptive thread titles. Your two posts were aberrations and definitely not the norm. There are other people here who are MUCH, MUCH worse. They know who they are and I hope they are reading this so they can correct their behavior in the future.

Thanks for the classy response. That's all that was needed. I'll stick to the point of the conversation and label the thread title appropriately moving forward.

A long standing habit of mine is to look at WHO made a post when deciding whether to read or not. Those couple of thread titles that were uncharacteristically less than concise were still irresistible click bait to me because they were posted by Mark. His credit is excellent with me, and sure enough, I wasn't disappointed.

About that midair ... gosh I just love it when everyone walks away.

Yes, that's the most important point here - nobody was injured or killed. That was extremely close! When I first saw that video, the first thoughts that came to my brain was the Skyraider/Mustang collision from a few years back. If that Mustang in the recent example was just a few feet closer to the tail, it could have severed all of the lines going to the elevator. It would have been too low to bail out and the pilot undoubtedly would have been killed.

For some interesting reading on how similar this was to the Skyraider/Mustang collision, here is the final AAIB report on that. It's unfortunate that lessons still have to be learned.
