Now that everybody's favourite linking site is gone, what are WIXers using to post pictures from? I've been scanning interesting old stuff this summer and would love to post some here, but with Photobucket gone...

I've been using Flickr for about four years with almost no problems.

I post pictures to my own website www.hadfield.ca under the ftp format, then link to that.

I also have some on Imagestation, for when I'm using an iPad.

Thank you, Gentlemen. I reckon I'll give Flickr a try, as I have no time to set up my own website, like Dave. I just recently scanned some stuff from the first air show I ever went to, in 1974. They're kind of fun, and might be of some interest here.

I'm another enthusiastic Flickr user. It takes a while to get used to but is so much nicer to look at than PB.

Flickr is good and you can still link images to forums too. Also you can upload them in high res too.

But will they someday do what PB just did?

I bit the bullet and went for a one year subscription to Imageshack for $19.99 US per year. Very happy with it, and I often link photos to a modeling forum I belong to. As a long time photobucket user I, like Dave above, feared another free site choosing to go to paid, and hey it's worth a few bucks to me for a site to host my pictures in a very easy to use site, free from ads.

That's my fear as well. I haven't found a perfect solution yet but flickr seems to be the goto app for the moment.

I agree 100%, but it's not as fast getting the links off Flickr.
But generally, it's a better website that photobucket ever was.

I guess I must be behind on the news. I don't use it very often but I recently posted some links to my Photobucket images via email and I just checked the page. It's pop-up H E double hockey sticks for sure but it does appear to still exist. And it seems to function. What am I missing.

Yeah shame that so many photos are not available. The only best picture posting deal is have it on the website period.
It really makes no sense that in this super inexpensive hard drive storage world now that some websites make it a requirement to post on some offsite that may be gone the next day. Just nonsense sorry.
