World War II Print Ads - North American Aviation

Mon Sep 04, 2017 2:03 pm

World War II print ads.
These ads abounded during World War II and were used reinforce brand awareness while a company was supporting the war effort instead of being able to provide consumer goods.
Nearly all these images are from the collection of Benoit De Mulder. Thank you Benoit for sharing these with us.

The B-25 ad eighth from the bottom reminds me of the box art for the old
1950s Monogram A-26 kit and the 22th from the top looks like their B-25 box also from the 50s.

Wonder if it was the same artist?

Likewise, the see through Mustang looks a lot like their Phantom Mustang kit box art.

Guess the "Hell Bent Son of Heaven" ad would not fly in today's climate! Times have changed.

Thanks for posting this series. Interesting.
