Does anybody know the serial number of the P-40 used in "1941"?

"In addition to the Wildcat he also bought a Curtiss P-40 Warhawk for $126,000 in 1976. The P-40 has since flown for the movie 1941, and, yes, Frasca has turned down offers north of $1 million for this airplane as well."

Edit: A little more digging shows Tom Camp and Steve Hinton listed as pilots in 1941 per IMDB

I recall reading two P-40s were used.
IIRC, the Frasca aircraft was used for additional cockpit closeups while Belushi was in Chicago filming The Blues Brothers. In other words, it may not have been the primary flying aircraft.

Since IMDB lists Steve Hinton and Frank Tallman as pilots for the film, that should give a hint to the aircraft.

For some reason, I believe it was Tom Camp's P-40.

I'm pretty sure you're correct. I think his was also one of the "Tora" P-40's.
