I'm surprised this hasn't been posted: photos of the Collings Foundation's "White 1" sitting outside Gosshawk have been posted on the "Focke Wulf - FW 190" and "Aviation Wrecks and relics" Facebook groups and have been doing the rounds on social media (apologies if there's a reason they'd not been posted here).

Wow, nice to finally see it on its legs and done!

Any word on first flights?

It has quite a unique look to it, quite unlike most freshly-restored flyable warbirds, almost with a patina that makes it seem like it has been around for a while already (despite the majority of the airframe being new). Note all of the paint chips and appearance of age around the interior surfaces. The new issue of Air Classics poses the question, with regard to the Collings Fw 190F, "have we reached the pinnacle" in warbird restorations?

It would be thrilling to see both the Collings/Gosshawk Unlimited-restored Fw 190F and the Bruce Winter/Midwest Aero-restored Bf 109G together at Oshkosh this summer.

I’m excited to see more videos and photos, she looks amazing!! It really does look, as one online friend suggested, as though it’s been sitting somewhere in climate-controlled storage since the war.

Speaking of new photos (via Zbenek Kaspar on Facebook):
