Add to that the Palm Springs P-63, CAF Wildcat, CAF SoCal Spitfire and Hellcat, the Friedkin Skyraider and a couple Sea Furies from Sanders. Sort of weird not having the POF (or any) Thunderbolts, but the POF P-26, AT-12, N9M, Val (replica), TBM, T-33, Mig-15, and F-86 (among others/in addition to those already mentioned) were flying yesterday. The five Corsairs were those from POF, Rod Lewis, Dan Friedkin, Jack Erickson, and Chuck Wentworth - comprising of an F4U-1A, two FG-1D's, an F4U-4, and an F4U-7. Perhaps even more rare than seeing five Corsairs together is the 3 Zero's on the ramp (first time since the POF airshow in 2012), as well as two SBD's on the ramp (albeit the Erickson example being an A-24 in disguise). The three Tigercats comprise of Dan Friekdin's (ex-Historic Flight Foundation), one of Rod Lewis', and Joe Clark's. Also great to see the Friedkin P-40M flying in the show (it seems to have had some engine-related issues keeping it mostly ground-bound over the past year or so) - all three P-40's at the show, POF/Friendkin/Paul, painted in North African Theatre desert markings. Pretty cool to see Steve Barber's Yak-3 flying/flown-in as well (a rare sight outside the CAF Camarillo hangars in recent years), joining the POF Yak-3.
