An update on the Reevers B-25 restoration in Adelaide, Australia.

THIS WEEK
This week we are finishing off the painting, markings and sorting out the final fit out for the Veterans day on Saturday when we honour the Dutch and Australian veterans of 18 SQN NEIAF.

SATURDAY APRIL 8 2017 - VETERANS DAY AT REEVERS
In just a few days time we will have a medium sized gathering of WW2 veterans, family members and officials from around the world at Parafield airport in northern Adelaide, Australia as Reevers unveils the 18 SQn NEIAF B-25 Mitchell "Pulk". All going well ....another very special event will take place on the day, currently subject to confirmation.

PUBLIC OPEN DAY TO SEE THE B-25 MITCHELL
The Public Open Day is Sunday 9th April 2017 from 10 am to 4 pm. It will be held at Hangar 52 also known as Classic Jets Fighter Museum at Anderson Drive, Parafield Airport, Adelaide, South Australia.

OTHER NEWS
We have some special memorabilia made for the event such as caps, shirt, artwork and postcards and a special B-25 book.... signed off by veterans, officials and others will be raffled off.

Ive managed to do a lot of behind the scenes work to get people sharing their experiences, photos and helping the project out in a variety of ways. It has been a great outcome as in doing so I've managed to chat to people from around the world on a subject up until last year I didn't know much about.besides a few lines in a book I have.........just yesterday I spent 2hrs on phone to a Dutch woman in Turkey who told me about her familys connection to the Squadron. Very passionate to see the world learn more of her family's history she is....

By the end of this month, ill be a doing a new book review on a soon to be released title covering the 18 SQN NEIAF operations in northern Australia and South East Asia. See the book preview here - https://www.allenandunwin.com/browse/bo ... 1760296476

See our recent news and photos on facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/ReeversWarbirds/?ref=bookmarks
We expect to be uploading photos Saturday afternoon of the event all going well to the page.

We hope to see some of you on Sunday!
