Who's planning on going to the HAG 1941 airshow in Geneseo, NY this year?

I've already made reservations and have roped Ryan Keough and Jim Harley into going. Lets make it a WIX gathering like the old days! :)

Update: Life and finances have prevented us from attending :( Maybe next year :?

I will be attending at some point. Probably not all three days as Oshkosh trip this year will deplete the brownie point bank and perhaps even put me into overdraft.

I will definitely be there Friday for arrivals and then either Saturday or Sunday, depending on which is the better weather day. I'm in the same boat as Jeff; spending a week in Osh Kosh has limited the tolerance for a full weekend in Geneseo. Zero complaints as I will be spending the week at Airventure.

As far as Geneseo, there seems to be absolutely no information from the NWM on a possible theme, or any participating aircraft. I know they don't usually share much, but this year is especially quiet. My hope is that they bumped the show right up against Osh Kosh in hopes of catching some warbirds on their way to OSH. In essence it becomes a midway point for east cost warbirds on their way to Airventure.

Does the B-17 fly at this show or is it just parked?

I'll be there on Friday and Saturday. Have to leave early Sunday and make a speed run back to providence to attend a wedding.

menards - I think the hope is that the Movie Belle will be flying this season. I know there were some posts on their website/facebook about hanging the re-built engine. Let's hope she flies in the show. It has been far too many years with Geneseo not having a B-17 in the show.

Scott - Jeff and I can be found early Friday at far show left, at the corner of the taxiway. You are welcome to join. We have a good crew and I am sure most post/lurk on WIX. Canon camera preferred, but we're Nikon tolerant.

Attendance in Geneseo is mandatory for CF-MAD.
We'll be there.

This is me taking my friend Marilyn, a long time museum volunteer and the person we named our Tiger Moth after, for an evening flight.

Last year we were one of only two Canadian registered aircraft.
Hopefully there will be a better turn out. Used to be huge Canadian content.
Please come by and say hi guys. Love to meet Wixers.

Andy

What a thrill it must've been to have a Canadian Tiger share the field so closely with a Canadian Mossie! How cool!

Zac, I knew that KA114 was coming and made a point of telling my friend Bob, that we needed to make a point of getting our Tigers photographed with it.
They pulled the Mossie out of the hangar and I said lets go.
We taxied over and just kind of made it happen.

The picture of me taxiing out was shot by my friend Eric Dumigan.
He has such an amazing eye for composition.
He said that he thought this could turn out cool (um..., slight understatement. It's the background on my computer. I love it)
The guy in the front seat is U.S. aerobatic champion Rob Holland.
He said " I have a great idea. I want to get a shot of me upside down over your Tiger Moth"
After we landed he went out with my buddy Danny and Eric Dumigan shot this.

Needless to say. We've had some real fun times at Geneseo!

I've seen Eric's work, he does seem to know how to point a camera!

That second Tiger-Mossie-Tiger photo is gorgeous!

Andy, photo-tip: tell Danny to raise the side-door on the Tiger during a photo flight!

Lovely shot with the Mosquito.

We hope to be there this year, in either the Fairchild or the RV6. Or maybe Robin and a friend of hers will take the Canuck.

There is no VWoC planned attendance, although this year we will be campaigning the Mustang, Corsair and Hurricane as a 3-ship. It costs, unfortunately.
