Not many posts to go from myself on this thread (pleased for that I hear you say). We've been working on it all over the weekend - wasn't much else to do as it rained all of the time, and now only a few things to do. Prop goes on tomorrow and the gear doors are to be fitted and then once we have taken some photos, it will be dismantled and off to it's owner.

Today, have had our 'Weathering Wizard' in and it's looking totally different again. Gone from a piece of blue plastic, to something resembling an aeroplane and now something even more so. Still some work to finish her off, but looking very smart indeed. Hope you all agree.

Absolutely fantastic! Thanks so much for sharing as much as you have, Martin, it's been a joy (and very insightful) to see this project progress. Thank you, and many thanks to the owner.

Perhaps you and Scott could set up a "sticky" thread somewhere for your team's projects so we have a one-stop shop for updates?

Almost looks harder to build than the real thing, but I suspect #2 would be done much more quickly!

I would be proud to have one in my garden!

Chips being added this morning. We haven't forgotten about the fasteners. These are being made in metal and will be added at a later date.

Thank you. I didn't think people would be that interested as it is not a real aeroplane, but we have been so happy to read everyone's comments and we have had a lot of positive feedback, so perhaps it is of interest. We aren't quite up to Z at the moment. More like X, and with only a day to go, it's getting hectic here. Still a few little things to sort out - problems pop up when you least expect them and then it's good to go.

Been six months of solid work by a team of 10 people. Learnt a lot along the way, but we have got there and who knows what the future is going to hold. We have all enjoyed what must be one of the few 109 ever replicas built and so would love to build another. I think that may happen with the interest that this project has achieved.

Best wishes,

Martin

The day has finally arrived. She is virtually finished (just a few little items to add) and she is off this afternoon to her new owner. What more can I say, it's been an eventful, stressful and yet interesting six months (although the first ribs were laid down 4 years ago).

We have so many people to thank. Steve Rickards, Ralph Moser, Lynn Ritger, Harald Wiegand, Zsolt Keri to name a few. All have paid a massive part in the creation of this wonderful, wonderful replica. So pleased with the way that it has ended. Here is to the next one and all those lovely parts to reproduce for our perspective customers.

Thank you to everyone for their interest in our build and all of your kind comments.

Best wishes to all,

Martin

I can't stop drooling  That thing looks more real than the last "real" 109 I saw in person.

Outstanding work! :drink3:

But the question remains... when are you guys going to make a Corsair?
