The BT-15 was N9806H; registration revoked in 1977. Its c/n was listed as 3395; checking against other c/ns on Baugher gave me a serial of either 41-10998 or 41-11078 (depending on whether I counted forward from a lower number or backward from a higher one; must have been a gap in c/ns someplace). Both serials check out as sold through RFC.
The photos from the 2005 post (by WIXer "srs" - please PM if you want them removed) are gone from Photobucket but I saved them back in '07:

I took those photos while a teenager with my pocket Kodak 110 in the 1970's and submitted them to the "Warbird Report" section of Air Classics. Never saw them appear, but maybe they did. I have a few other photos of it that were never published along with other local birds from the time.

But, the 'Real Life Nursery' site was cleared maybe 30 years ago along with the drive-in theater that was next door, now replaced with a strip mall. The BT-15 disappeared along with the Sherman tank that was there with it. I later was told the tank ended up in California, so perhaps the BT had a better life.

Chears.

Another thread from the dead revival. Looking up "Cutlass" and "playground" on the Newspapers site brought up this story from January 28, 1958:

Wonder how this story panned out? Edit: He got the Cutlass - it's BuNo 129554 and it's a survivor :D . Now what about the Corsair?

This will test how good you guys are...

As a kid, circa 1963, I recall seeing a photo in a newspaper of a large seaplane (PBM?) being towed down a street to be placed in a park in a city back east.
Obviously, if it was a PBM it has not survived, but does anyone know more?

Some are still out there waiting to be discovered.
A friend sent me a photo of a T-33 on a pole in a very small town in ND.
It had an ADC decal on one side of the tail and a First AF emblem on the other.
It wasn't on Braugher's database. I sent him the info.
