I was expecting to see that at Musee De L'Air, but it wasn't on display. Is it somewhere else?

Hi Bdk,

Yes there was a Marauder at the Musee L'air near Paris in the colours of the free french airforces.
But this specific one is now lent to the Utah beach museum in Normandy France: http://www.utah-beach.com/?lang=en

Today it wears the colours of the B-26G Dinah might, from the 386th Bomb Group – 9th USAAF.
See this link for more info, how it looks today.

the question was asked earlier in this thread, do I have landing gear?
Yes! I do! Just got back from the last trip to Hill, picking up the wing box/centersection, and found the original landing gear while I was there!

Thank you! I was afraid that I had missed a building with many more displays when I was there.

Any updates since last year on this project? I look forward to seeing a B26 fly.

Oh no! I hope some static museum doesn't acquire her. We need a flyable B-26 again! Hopefully the Collings Foundation or the CAF (less likely) grab her and get her back in the air again.

Maybe it's time for the Tallichet family to sell the short wings. Since the B-26B will only be a static display, it would be okay to build up some non-airworthy fake wings for display.
Ideally obtain the short wings from Arizona, the tail from England and the nose from Canada. This would put this project a lot further along towards being a viable project.
Of course, maybe the XP-82 guys will buy it once the XP is completed.

Would be nice if Collings got it and added it to the tour!

Would love to see the likes of Paul Allen take over a project like this to fly alongside his B-25. Rides aren't really his forte, so it would help with the "selling seats" portion of it. He's got the money to do it, and the love of vintage aircraft to do it right. If I can't go for a ride in it, I want to watch someone who loves it, fly it. I'd be happy enough with that. Anyone want to put a bug in his ear? ;-)

It looks like lot of work had already done in a short period as the restoration started at the end of 2016. Just hoping the plane will find a good home.
