Whose BT is that? I don't recall seeing that nose art before.

Thanks for all these pictures and video, guys. You're all pushing me closer to finally getting up there for a week. This would have been a really good year to go it seems.

Can somebody explain to me the difference between these 2 award categories and why they are two different aircraft?

Judges’ Choice: P-63
CAF Dixie Wing
Peachtree City, Georgia
Bell P-63A Kingcobra, NX191H

Best P-63
John Bagly
Rexburg, Idaho
Bell P-63 Kingcobra, NL163FS
Silver Wrench
John Bagly
Rexburg, Idaho

2 P-63's so they needed 2 trophy's...

but there were 3 P-63's at the show.

Guess they ran out of trophy's then, all 3 are winners though and Mark is doing an outstanding job getting the Dixie Wing P-63 around to airshows...

I filmed these videos from the top of the bleachers and it was down right SCARY with the propwash from those B-25's! Garbs, where were you shooting from BTW?

For the Tuesday daytime show I was near show center. For the Wednesday evening show I was by the North end taxiway (Papa 1?) - the one by the tri-motor rides area. I was still there later on when the B-1 flew - he really did wring it out!. I will add a few of my shots to the fine examples already posted here:

Can't top any of the B-29 images that have been posted, but I'll add two anyway:

Another first for me (maybe ever?) - a missing man flight with a B-29 on the pull!

Looks like I still had it in auto shutter after the jets went by though :(

A couple of The Blues:

I was curious on Friday when the gate to Oshkosh Corp opened up and a huge yellow dump truck and a BFS (very large snowblower) drove onto the parallel taxiway, sometimes used as 36 right. They drove down almost to Basler and parked in the grass near the active.

Turns out this is how the Blue Angels mark their show center for all of the crossing maneuvers:

Did everyone get to see the remains of the R-2800 from the P-47 being excavated in Italy?

Link to story is here: http://www.jsonline.com/story/news/loca ... /90753732/

Also, on Monday when the trainer flights arrive, there was a Spad cleverly hidden in amongst the T-28's:

Another OSH highlite was when Rob Collings Jr. invited all in attendance at the Spitfire Warbirds in Riview program to come onto the apron and touch the Spitfire at the end of the prpgram, another sign I was at aviation mecca!
