The EAA - Spirit of Aviation Facebook page also shows that Tim Savage's A-26 is on the Airventure grounds today. Does anyone have an update? It looks ready to go... minus some of the colorful noseart.

She is done minus a microswitch follower for the nose gear that needs to be replaced so the indicator works properly.

We have some ideas, but with all the resultant damage definitively pinpoint what piece failed first is difficult...

Hopefully the Cobras go up either Friday or Saturday as one of their group flights.

That was an excellent watch (as long as you can get past the cameraman's very...enthusiastic? style of Q&A). Very informative, great to hear direct from Stewart Dawson and the not-named engineers, and to see an amazing beat-up at the end!

Bob Cardin in the red shirt (of Glacier Girl restoration fame), who I believe is the head of maintenance for the Lewis fleet.

I was guessing Wednesday would be one of the flights since the Warbirds of America show theme for that day is fighters.
