If nothing else, there is usually the EAA's B-17 "Aluminum Overcast" there giving rides.

Aluminum Overcast usually doesn't land at Oshkosh during AirVenture. The rides are out of Appleton. However, Yankee Lady is likely to be there, based on previous years, and is usually parked on the main display square.

THREE Dottie Mae's might be pushing it....but ONE would be great to see at Oshkosh. Wonder if there is any chance of this P-47 being ready with just over 3 months to EAA AirVenture.?

The latest B-25 update from EAA:

Arrival of at least 16 B-25 bombers at AirVenture by Tuesday, July 25, with the aircraft parked in AirVenture’s Warbirds area. Notable aircraft already confirmed include Panchito (Delaware Aviation Museum); Briefing Time (Mid-Atlantic Air Museum); Yankee Warrior (Yankee Air Museum); Miss Hap (American Airpower Museum); Barbie III (Cavanaugh Flight Museum); Devil Dog (Commemorative Air Force); and Miss Mitchell (Commemorative Air Force – Minnesota Wing).

Several programs at the popular Warbirds of America Warbirds in Review speaker series.

Sixteen B-25s flying in the warbirds air show on Tuesday, July 25, and re-enacting the 1942 Doolittle Raid to start the night air show on Wednesday, July 26.

Looks like I picked the right year to attend my first Airventure. A whole bunch of Mitchells, the A-20, and a pair of B-29s. Outstanding!

I hope they are able to pull it off - just watched the Doolittle ceremony at Wright-Pat. It was great, but between WX and gremlins, they had 11 of the 17 confirmed B-25's actually arrive. Still great, but reality stepped in.

And just in case anybody missed the other thread, Paul Keppeler has given us some encouraging news regarding F-86 Sabres planned for EAA AirVenture this summer:

As posted on Facebook, Rod Lewis' A-20 Havoc has arrived at Oshkosh and will be displayed at the EAA Museum for the next couple of months until the time of the airshow.

Well at least this year, we now know that the A-20 has physically made it to Oshkosh.

Now to see it flying there during the last week in July!
