Dan, thanks for taking the time to keep WIX nourished with OSH happenings. Is the SNJ the Fagen airplane?

And thanks for the picture of the Rotec truck. I wouldn't want one, but I admire the creativity.

Took over 2400 pictures yesterday - the B-25 passes were among the best I have ever seen. Seeing two B-29's in the air was amazing!

Disappointed the A-20 didn't fly but it looked like they were working on an engine yesterday evening.

No P-47's or Helldiver yet.

Yes, Rob, "Bundle Buggy" is the Fagen's SNJ-4.

That's Ron & Diane (She went camera-shy just as I snapped the pic) checking out the display on Monday.

DanK - THANKS for the most excellent pix, and please keep 'em coming! Garbs, where's your camera? :D

Following along as best I can on the www, a few things puzzle me, maybe I can get an answer or two here?

1. Where'd FIFI go?

2. Where are the fighters parked - the Mustangs, Spits, Corsairs, etc.? I'm guessing behind the north camera, the sector it doesn't cover?

3. What's the story on the big 'TEST' on the P-63? I feel like I should already know this one...

I think I heard yesterday that FIFI is now staging in Appleton, providing rides, but I think it is still scheduled to appear in the air show Friday and Saturday.

As you guessed, yes the majority of the fighters are always parked on the grounds that the North webcam doesn't quite reach.

The 'TEST' markings on the CAF P-63A is a reproduction of the same markings that particular aircraft had while in testing/evaluation with the NACA. The NACA bat wings were also added to each side of the tail. (I assume all of the NACA markings are of a temporary/removable nature(?))

Thank you Dan for the wonderful photographic coverage!

You've assumed correctly...decals provided by Aircorps Aviation.

If my eyes did not deceive me I think I spotted John Bagley's Kingcobra on the webcam this morning. When's the last time there were three flyable Kingcobras in one spot? And the CAF Airacobra as well. That's just as exciting as the two B-29's in my book!

I'm seriously starting to get pissed off at EAA's pathetic warbird shows. Today the 3 Sabres were forced to fly at 2k feet or higher in a racetrack pattern miles in front of the crowd. No low passes, no photo passes. I know it's not the fault of the pilots but rather the air boss/show management, but this happened on Tuesday with the B-29s too. It's getting really old. Sorry for the rant.

Great photos Dan, what a selection! Seeing the A-20 and the TEST P-63 is a highlight.

Also thanks for posting pics of the tribute to Vlado.

I was disappointed in the B-29 pattern on Tuesday as well. It was still awesome to see them in the air together, but I don't think they ever got any closer than the taxiway on the far side of the runway. It appeared that they were barely even over airport property. I hope for the sake of those who get to stick around all week that EAA is able to remedy that when the B-29s fly again.

I spent three days at Oshkosh this year and they were fantastic once again. Getting to see Doc, the A-20 and four members of the Cobra family in one place was pretty special. Some great flying with the B-1 arrival, the fighter flight in Wednesday's warbird show, the B-25 show Tuesday, multiple Heritage Flights and some low passes by a DC-3 (I really hope somebody got video of these, especially, the one-wheeled landing). The B-29 flight Tuesday was a bit of a letdown due to the distance of the aircraft from the crowd, but it was still incredible to see two in the air at once.

Other highlights for me were the Boeing YL-15, the Noorduyn Norseman, Fairchild 71 and Collings Foundation Spitfire IX. Pat Harker's L-5 is a head-turner too. Not sure who owns the Skyhawk, but that was a pleasant surprise as well.

Here are some photo contributions.
