I assume that you scanned them? I generally select the area I wanted scanned and set the size in pixels (I think I over scan at about 300x). That gives me about a 2meg picture (around 1200-1600 pixels). My scanner is down so I'm trying this from memory :? I’m not sure if that will help at all.
