At least with turbines the scrapper won't be getting this one.

Definitely not. A couple of years ago, I saw a Basler DC-3T sell for over $2M at auction. They're in high demand.

It will probably go for more than that. I think new ones are going for over 7 now.

The Mann Gulch C-47 is at the Museum of Mountain Flying at Missoula International Airport in Missoula, MT. It is being restored to flying condition and may be airworthy.

The auction closed in July 2016 and apparently the airplane is now owned by Basler Turbo Conversions

That is all I was able to find out about it since the auction.
