I'm trying to locate former members of the USAF Mission to Nicaragua who may have been there in the 1950s, officers or NCOs.

I am pretty sure, that this is NOT what you seek.

The image probably goes back to the very late 50s or early 60s, since the USAF personnel are meeting with Anastasio Somoza Debayle.

I have another photo where there are three personnel dressed as clowns, meeting a group of nicaraguan children.

Saludos,

Tulio

I found a couple of images. These I got from the Truman Presidential Library back in 2005. They are from the 1950s. Where you see the local military wearing white or tropical-weight uniforms, I am so far unable to identify. It could be El Salvador, or it could be Nicaragua.

The other images are huge, so I will have to re-size them before uploading here.

Saludos,

Tulio

And, these are the other images.

I apologize, but I have no clue as to the names of those individuals.

Credit for the photos is U.S. Government / USAF / via Truman Presidential Library Archives.

Saludos,

Tulio

Just to be clear...in the photo shoot above, the Americans are on the right (wearing the long obsolete tan service dress uniform that was done away with in the 50s or early 60s...AF at least, not sure about Army dates).
The one on the right is Army....or USMC...my GUESS is Army.
