Hi Dan,

Unfortunately I am unable to attend the pre-OSH jet blast at SBM (wish I could!). Neither can my buddy Carl S. who sometimes flies my T-33 (and Sabre). Doug M. is attending in the Skyblazers F-86 and maybe his T-33 as well since he has other pilots who fly his planes. Vlado usually flies the red on silver T-33, but I don't know what the owner's plans are. After an engine overhaul and a one year airframe restoration, my F-86 ran for the first time yesterday in 13 years and it went really well. Just have to address a few minor things. Fingers crossed it'll make OSH as the 4th Sabre. Once AirVenture begins, we plan to make a number of flights to/from SBM with those airplanes as it will act as a jet warbird out-base.

Thanks, Paul. And congrats to you and everyone involved on the successful engine run!

We all know you'll progress carefully with her. Just be sure to pack extra shop rags for Wittman to wipe off all the drool.

You bet Dan, I have a phenomenal restoration and maintenance crew in Heritage Aero and they/we are proceeding with great care and prudence. We are sparing no expense and effort to make the jet as safe and reliable as possible, however long that takes.

Paul,

Thanks very much to you and your crew, and to Doug, Vlado and EVERYONE else involved with these great classic jets! We really appreciate all of you taking the time and great effort to share them with all of us jet warbird enthusiasts!

Looking forward to some outstanding jet action at Oshkosh in just over a week.

Looks like I'll be able to arrive Tuesday evening, almost a full day earlier than planned. We're probably going to spend a night at Scholler and then migrate to the north 40 when our friend arrives with his plane Wednesday afternoon.

Looking forward to Warbirds in Review Wednesday morning!

I've been attending Oshkosh for over 30 years, but this year will include at least 4 warbird types I've never seen in the air...

Is anybody at EAA checking into the warbird webcam? Zack? Chris?

I first noticed it down about 5 hours ago.

Thanks, Bear. Turns out it's my older laptop is to blame. Tried a different machine and all webcams are functioning fine.

I'm planning to arrive early Monday. Remind S.O. to bring his can cooler.

Thanks! Right now the schedule is calling for a Sabre four-ship and T-33 three or four-ship Monday night at 6:30. Sabre four-ship maybe Wednesday during air show opening and Thursday during jet showcase.

Outstanding Paul!

Really looking forward to a 4-ship Sabre formation and a 3/4-ship T-33 formation!

And Monday evening looks fantastic for JET action with the TWO QF-4 Phantoms due in from Holloman around 6:00 or a little later, and then the F-86 and T-33 formations! Wow!

Great to hear A-26 Silver Dragon enjoyed a successful test flight today over Santa Fe and will be headed for God's Country North Friday morning.

Sure is nice when a plan comes together. :drink3:
