I've been off the grid for a few weeks, so forgive me if this is common knowledge. It looks like Cavanaugh now owns Barbie III, but where is she presently located? Perhaps an annual somewhere? Would love to see her display in the Midwest this summer.

I think I saw her at American Aero Services in Florida in a recent Facebook post.

Thanks for the info...with special thanks to all those who have kept her airborne over the years! :drink3:

Many thanks! Hi-res pics not necessary.

The question was asked more out of curiosity, as I knew ownership had changed but hadn't seen her migrate to a new home yet.

Good to see she's getting a makeover. Any idea if she'll be staying with her current markings?

Mostly out of ignorance - was the plane in need of maintenance work when it was sold?

Airplanes always need maintenance

I last saw this B-25 at Geneseo in October of 2013. It is a marvelous example of the type.

Those photos are downright depressing. I last saw her in the AA maintenance hangar at AFW back in 2010. Parked next to a 777. She looked to be in beautiful shape then.

Well considering where she is now (American Aero) and that she's apparently been acquired by Cavanaugh recently (Any evidence of this?) I'd say this is her low point in her Warbird career. I'm sure once Gary and his crew get done with her, she'll look brand new.

Will this make their other B-25 redundant to the collection then?

TJ - redundant? not at all - more is better :D

I have to admit if I had the cash I would not mind having two or three in the hangar.

Cavanaugh does not fly their other B-25 (How Bout That) it is a WWII combat vet, so they deemed it too rare to risk. I would imagine they will add Barbie III to their ride program...
