Yes, Bill sold it to Bill Runyon. Its based at Meacham and I am sure will be well cared for. It was cool to see the A-26K and the CAF A-26 up close. Fifi was there too looking good and lots of other treasures.

I've said it here a few times before, and I'll say it again...
The Ezells are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet.

I got a chance to meet them during the Seafire restoration in the early 2000s.

Judging by the (awesome) photos in this thread, viewtopic.php?f=3&t=56532, it would appear that "Crusader" is already back in Colorado so I don't think he was without a ride for too long!

Ahh, can't believe I missed that thread. Glad to see he wasn't bored for too long. ;)

Joe is a great guy and I was honored to make his acquaintance during my time in Denver.

Might be. Sorry but this is the best shot I have of it. They were working hard on the outside while I was there.

The folks at Ezell Aviation are really an inspiration to war bird restoration and very helpful when you run up against the wall on a technical question when working on these planes. Thanks for the help.

Hi Lynn,

Do you happen to know the identity of the Tiger Moth?

The Whale is an EA-3B. The crew is currently sanding her down in preparation for painting. More info on the aircraft here:

The Cessna 150 is our flying club airplane.

Looks like there's only one Tiger Moth with those letters, G-BJZF:

Photo from Flickr taken by Dave Haines at Duxford in 2014. It's c/n NAS 100, built in 1982.

Thanks for the cool thread Taigh. I've never heard anything but wonderful things about Ezells. It is great to have wonderful folks like that, in ones life.

That really is a sweet looking Tiger. Tail skid, probably no brakes. Looks like fun!
Thanks for the pic Chris. Your resourcefulness NEVER ceases to amaze! :drinkers:

There will be a B25-C there shortly. The former Howard Hughes & now Hearst Foundation bird out of Fox Field in Lancaster Ca. It's slowly coming apart. They got the engines off this week & separated the aft fuselage from the front.

Very interesting to hear! Do they intend to restore it in executive configuration and fly it?
