Identify these seats?

Can anyone tell me what these seats are out of? I'm not familiar with this particular design.

The design of the seat pan suggests the were intended to use a parachute as a seat cushion. Colors look right for WWII era U.S. built, but beyond that I have no idea.

Any numbers or stamps on them at all? What are the dates on the lap belts?

I've only ever looked at PBY seats (and these aren't PBY), but based on those, it looks like you've got the inner guts of pilot / co-pilots seats - i.e. without the cushions, seat frame, armour plating etc. (I've attached an exploded view of PBY pilot's seat to show you what I mean). There should be a part number on them somewhere; that's probably your best bet

It was a hot rod shop that was selling them. I wouldn't be confident that the belts were definitely from the same aircraft. But who knows. They were on ebay and were too expensive to not know what they were out of or if they were WWII vintage, for my needs. Seems most are stumped. No luck on the WIX Facebook page either. Everyone is stumped. It's an interesting design and like I said, I've never seen this style before.

A year or so ago I was at a car show and someone had a Rat Rod. It had neat looking seats that looked like they may have come from an aircraft. I asked him what they were from and he said an Austin Healy...just stripped of all padding.

Back in the early days of rodding...just after WWII...a lot of guys in California did use ex-aircraft seats (along well belly tanks as bodies for racers) but those sources are long gone. About the only ac with old-style seats that are out there still being scrapped are Twin Beeches.

they look pretty old and maybe they predate what everyone is thinking. They kinda look like B-18, B-23, or early B-17 seats.

Not B-18 or C-45 - those are more rounded (likely stamped?) The B25 pilot/CP seat has the same sort of square setup for the parachute, but much more pronounced (thicker chute package).
