Beautiful airplane. I've always wondered how that aircraft would have compared to the P-40 if they had simply continued updating the radial in lieu of replacing it with an inline...

Anyone know how much airframe commonality there is with the P-40?

Is this the Hawk 75 that was in the UK? Or is it a different one? I don't want to blow anyone's cover and I won't mention names, but there was a pretty reqular wix member that I heard has several P-36 and early P-40 restorations going and have been VERY secret. Curious if its one of these? :D

Maybe they will get a formation photo of the Seversky P-35(AT-12), Curtiss P-36, P-38, Bell P-39, and Curtiss P-40 together.

It has to be another fine product of Matt Nightingale's shop. Several really nice air-to-air images of this new P-36 restoration here: https://www.facebook.com/MomentsCapture

What a nice surprise!

Thank you Andrew & Christopher, with all due respect to the owners privacy, I 'm not a big fan of " I know something you don't .." Save that for kid 's birthday parties, just my 2 pennies. Back to airplanes, As I type this, I Just got my Air Classics ! I Think one of their best so far ! A great article about GossHawk with lots of Butcher Birds OOPS! I mean 190s, pic.s etc, also a growing private collection of Heavys in Buckeye Arz. A-26,B-25,Pby, C-119,Trader, Albatross, DC-3 etc.But wait!.. Also P-51 "Bunny", AND PICTURES & UPDATE on Rod Lewis' A-20 !! , B-25 "Georgie's Gal" , and for us WWI nuts, a Great story & pics of Javier Arango's Snipe & Tabloid ( via Chuck Wentworth). A really great read ! Now let's begin the p***ing contest as to who knew of the P-36 First ! pop2

Great Camo pic ! Mark, the "Shiny" P-40 has been with The Fighter Collection, and flew with their Hawk & P-40F, in the last/ past Flying Legends Air Show , which I'm sure they'll do again this year, (with this P-36 included ?) Enjoy the show !

If those in-flight pics with the Seversky don't "put the lead in your pencil", you must have some sort of serious dysfunction. Those are just utterly stunning.

Not a known survivor. Steve Hinton tells us in the second video that it is owned by The Fighter Collection and will be at Legends:
