Scheduled for the NASCAR Cup race at Sonoma this Sunday 6-28. Flyover should be shortly after 2PM Central time:

Flyover: P-40N Warhawk, three P-51D Mustangs; Vintage Aircraft, Schellville Airport, Sonoma County

Turned out the flyover after the anthem was by two F-18s. The warbirds were supposed to fly over after the command to start engines-if they did, TV didn't show them.

Not too sure what happened sun morning. They were supposed to flyby at just before noon, but the guys sat around in the restaurant until 11:30, then they walked out and everybody took group pictures. Then it was getting time to be getting on with it and there was a squawk with the Perez Mustang that took 10~12 mins to get it started. The group didn't get off the ground until noon and they flew off heading for Sears Point. :?
I have a couple taxi out pic's, if PB will cooperate.

And the third Mustang ended up being "Red Dog VII", not "Lady Jo"

First day back to work(tue). I talked with some people who were in the grandstands for the race and they confirmed that the warbirds DID do a flyby before the race. :D

If NASCAR would like me to buy a ticket and attend a race, I suggest that they get the F-104 Starfighters to do a flyby. Just sayin' ...

... although the sound of 3 P-51's at the same time would be worth hearing in person, don'cha know ...

No NASCAR race last weekend, but it was the Indy Car season finale at Sears Point in Sonoma, CA.

The Patriots Jet Team did a full 30min airshow before the race

Then a couple of the Patriots did the National Anthem fly over

Then there was 4 T-6's from the California Capitol Airshow that did a fly over for the "Start Your Engines" command

And Scott Dixon in the Target #9 car was the race winner and a surprise IndyCar Series Champion

ed; Sorry to the Hooligan guys, but NASCAR still hadn't updated their schedule at fly over time. I posted this from watching the race coverage. :?
