Ok, with the eBay S-2 and the C-1 at courtesy I am wondering this - what is a realistic operating cost for this beast??

They have 1820s if I remember right - what is the operational lifetime of this engine? How fuel hungery is it? All of this of course depends on the pilot and flying style - no carrier landing here!!

Anyway - with 10 passenger seats the one at Courtesy sounds like a great plane for a museum to be able to reward a VIP or significant donor with a ride in!!

Thinking. . . . .

1820s burn around 50gph, no real TBO, but it will cost you around 50K to aquire a 0 time unit. Is there any real interest in this type? that is the question to justify its operation.
